MEDIA ADVISORY: Press Teleconference - ACE, flex fuel retailers to discuss implications of a RIN cap
Posted on 03/09/2018
Sioux Falls, SD (March 9, 2018) – The American Coalition for Ethanol (ACE) is hosting a press teleconference today at 2:00 p.m. CDT with Senior Vice President Ron Lamberty, featuring flex fuel retailers Charlie Good of Good & Quick in Nevada, Iowa; Bruce Vollan of Midway Service in Baltic, South Dakota; and Mike Lewis of Pearson Fuels in California to discuss what the implications of capping renewable identification number (RIN) prices would have on their sales of E15 and higher ethanol blends.
The White House has scheduled a meeting for Monday, March 12, to discuss the future of the RFS. ACE is also encouraging its members via its Legislative Action Center to email the White House and contact their representatives in Congress to reiterate why the ideas being floated to cap or waive RINs would reduce biofuel use, hurt farmers already suffering from low prices, and jeopardize rural manufacturing workers who depend upon the RFS.
