THE CLEANEST AND MOST AFFORDABLE INGREDIENT IN YOUR GAS TANK IS ALSO THE EASIEST TO UNDERSTAND.

Ethanol is a pretty simple molecule. It’s actually the result of a process that’s constantly unfolding everywhere in nature: fermentation of renewable resources. It is derived from plants and biodegrades quickly. It’s low-carbon and contains enough octane to power a car — but with considerably fewer emissions than that witch’s brew of gasoline you’re using right now.

Every gallon of gasoline sold in the U.S. contains some ethanol.  Henry Ford’s Model T. was built to use it, and Mercedes-Benz, whose motto is The Best or Nothing, has called ethanol “the best kept performance secret in the world.”

Some folks try to overcomplicate ethanol and find controversy in every aspect of its production. Some go to great lengths to prove the science and benefits of the fuel. Others just don’t know much. We’ve tried to package up the basics for you in some fun easy to understand ways.
